October Craft Night (forgot to post)
Wood is my thing. I love making stuff out of it and painting it and cutting it up. Pretty much anything wood and I am in!! These are just another thing that you can do with all the scrap wood you have laying around. These little cuties range for. About 3" high to about 6 or 7" high. They are just left over 2x4's from another project. We have painted them using acrylic paints (50 cents each at the craft store) and decorated them using ribbon and tulle and coiled up wire. The stems are just 5/8" dowels cut to be about 3" long and glued in a hole that we made with a drill. Easy least and a fun way to decorate for the fall. Hint... If you leave one side a plain pumpkin and the other with Jack-o-lantern faces you can use them September through Thanksgiving to decorate. Love long term holiday decorating.

April showers bring .... Craft Night!!!
For this months craft night we made wooden holiday signs. Most people stuck with the Spring theme and made signs saying either "Spring" or "Easter". They came out very festive and will be great additions to bring in the new season.
Here is Tina's creation:
This is what Carissa made:
Other people got creative with what their signs said. Jen made an everyday sign with their last name:
Kate made an adorable sign with her daughters name:
How to make:
-Cut 2x4s in 4", 5", 6", 7", 8", and 9" lengths. Sand the edges
-Paint the edges and ends
-Cut paper 3.25" wide by the length of each block
-Modge Podge the paper to the wood - apply glue under and over the paper and then again over the letter
-Embellish for fun and pizazz
-Make sure the let the blocks dry fully before you put them away
Enjoy!!

March Craft Night
Homemade laundry soap was on the docket tonight. We made awesome containers to keep our soap in.
Laundry soap is super easy to make. It is not only easy on your clothes but easy on the wallet as well. Plus there are no harmful chemicals that you are wearing around on your skin all day.

February Craft Night
Craft Night is back!!!! And better than ever I might add. We had so much fun making pallet coat racks. Some people even got creative adding picture clips above their coat hooks so that little ones would know which coat hook was theirs. Take a look at our fun projects.
The key to a successful project is to sand first and then paint light coats. This green/red/blue one used one light coat of paint and then a nice sanding after the fact. Turned out nice, right!?!?

The dark one got a bottom out on it to house the mittens or hats for users of the coat rack. A nice touch to keep everything in one neat little spot.
I added picture frames to mine with my sons name. Great addition to his room.
Overall we had a ton of fun and got some great ideas for future nights out.

Wood block holiday letters
These are made from 2x4's, Cricut cut lettering, and mod podge scrapbook paper. So cute. I love mine so much that I am going to make one for every holiday.
On one side is a decoration for Halloween and on the other side is the word autumn so I can leave these bad boys out for the entire season. I love multi-function.

Giving is the GREATEST!!!
Hi friends in the blogging world. Today I am writing about a very important subject. The topic of Leukemia. There is a little boy in Denver named Eryk that was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. His family was only supposed to be in Colorado for one year. His father is a geologist that was working on a grant in Colorado the past year. Eryk was diagnosed in November. The doctors say that he needs to stay in Colorado to finish his treatment and that it is dangerous to move him back to Poland. Unfortunately the health insurance that they carry in Poland does not work here, so the medical bills are piling up. See more about Eryk's story at the link below.

Here is where you all come in. The Polish Club of Denver is putting together a benefit fundraiser/auction for the family. All the proceeds will go toward paying for the families medical bills. We are asking for donations in the form gift certificates for goods and services. These certificates will be auctioned off at the benefit. I know that several of you have Etsy sites so if you would like to donate a certificate for some type of online store that would be great.
I know that this family will be grateful for anything that you can give. If the only thing that you can send is prayers that would be appreciated too. This little boy needs a fighting chance and this is the best thing that we can do to help him. Please email me of leave a comment below if there is anyway that you can help. Thank you.
