Bluegrouse. Capital B. One word. Like the bird. Dendragapus Obscurus. The name is confusing, purposely directing one to think of bluegrass music, but skirting around the genre ever so slightly. Fitting for a band that considers themselves more Bluegrass-adjacent than bluegrass-purist.
Each of these talented grouses has been part of the Durango music scene since the early 2000’s, playing in multiple bands and joining in weekly jam groups. But like birds of a feather, they found each other and settled in to create this band, Bluegrouse. Borrowing from diverse musical backgrounds, Bluegrouse blends simple instrumentation with beautifully crafted vocal harmonies to create a collection of songs that reflects their wide ranging musical tastes, including bluegrass, traditional, folk, swing, country and celtic music. Playing innovative arrangements of cover songs, and several new originals, the band has something for everyone to love.
Their undeniable natural chemistry and fun-loving, playful energy make their performances unforgettable. So tap your feet, sing along, or get up and dance - Bluegrouse invites you to join their musical journey. Known online as PloogNation, Steve is a Denver-based comedian, writer, and producer whose punchline-heavy style, dry wit, and unmistakable gravelly voice have made him one of Colorado’s favorite rising comics. A regular at Comedy Works and featured as "Comedian of the Week" on Today's Comedy 99.5 HD2, Steve has performed at more than 40 comedy festivals across the country, including Limestone, High Plains Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, 10,000 Laughs, Treefort Music Festival, and The Fest.
Steve is also the creator of Rotating Tap, the award-winning brewery comedy tour that earned Westword Readers’ Choice for Best Comedy Night in Denver.
Bring your friends, grab a pint, and settle in for an evening of sharp jokes, unforgettable stories, and nonstop laughs in Conifer’s favorite gathering place.

Join us for 7 rounds of audio, visual and live hosted trivia. Our weekly quiz is free to play and we’ll be giving away prizes for answering bonus questions and gift cards for our top teams at the end of the night. Geeks Who Drink rules limit the total number of players on your team to 6, so gather your smartest friends and come down.
