It's a daily journey through twelve of the most sought-after, epic holiday brews you'll ever taste. Think of it like an Advent calendar where you get a new, incredible, high-octane beer tapping EVERY SINGLE DAY until all twelve are poured! Distilling:  Co-Founders Rick and Owen had one common element that created the foundation of Locke + Co. Distilling, and that was to celebrate the best of what life in Colorado has afforded. This guiding principle, of sharing that experience, hit them while hand-cutting the aging discs from mature stands of aspen on family land flanking Central Colorado's Mosquito Range. All the best days added up. The days spent camping, hiking, biking, fishing, snowboarding and skiing: that sunset toast after an unending day fly-fishing the Yampa, the warm nip from a flask on a cold chairlift, the laughter over a late-summer backyard game of cornhole. The unapologetic last howl at the moon. About the whiskies:  Aspen Aged Rye - Locke + Co. Flagship Aspen Aged Rye Whiskey is aged two plus years in brand new 30-gallon oak barrels from the Barrel Mill out of Minnesota. They use char levels 2, 3, 4, and 5. After the two years of aging, they blend the whiskey in large tanks. They then finish the whiskey by dropping in hand cut and hand charred aspen wood discs that float in the whiskey for additional eight months. Then blend again before bottling. Big Catch Bourbon - Locke + Co. age their Bourbon Whiskey for over two years in brand new 53-gallon Missouri oak barrels. Using both high rye and high wheat mash builds, they create a confluence of bold, balanced flavors. They finish the whiskey by dropping Their used hand-cut and charred aspen wood discs from their rye whiskies as well as some new charred aspen wood discs to create a bourbon with a Taste Like None Other. This event takes place every Saturday morning inside Snowpack Taproom (Main Street Upper Level) from 10-11 am. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Geeks Who Drink brings the nation's best live hosted pub quiz to Snowpack Taproom every Tuesday from 7-9pm! Join us for 7 rounds of audio, visual and live hosted trivia. Our weekly quiz is free to play and we'll be giving away prizes for answering bonus questions and gift cards for our top teams at the end of the night. Geeks Who Drink rules limit the total number of players on your team to 6, so gather your smartest friends and come down.
