Joshua Tate and Marla Keown fuse sweet harmonies and simple, poignant songwriting to lighten the mood and soothe the soul. It's a blend of mountain music with roots in the heartland. Both hail from Kansas, where they went to middle school together, sharing band class. Twenty-five years later, these two band nerds serendipitously crossed paths again when Marla came out to photograph Joshua's touring band in Colorado. Sparks flew and the two were married. After a few years of gentle prodding, Joshua convinced Marla to pick up the bass and begin work on a project, which became The Pik Me Ups!
